Oslo WR jacket is designed for urban cyclists (commuters). It is made with an organic cotton twill. Organic cotton means that it has been grown and processed following ethical and sustainable standards. In addition, it is within our Track Zero products so it is a highly sustainable product. It has at least 70 points out of 100 and it is not only made with sustainable materials, but it has also been manufactured and processed in Spain with technologies such as laser marking, ozone washing or nano-bubble treatments.
It has many technical details but the most relevant is the WR (water repellent) finish. This finish is respectful with the environment and has a durability of approximately 15 household washes. We recommend always washing the garment inside out to preserve the initial appearance of the garment as long as possible, as well as the water-repellent finish. It is also important to iron the garment after washing as the temperature of the iron reactivates the liquid-repellent finish.
Other details are: reflective inserts to increase your safety, jeans-style button closure, 3 front pockets and one interior, micro-perforated inner lining for sweat, cuff adjustment buttons to reduce air intake and inner elastic band to fix the jacket to your belt and thus maintain a correct position of the garment.
The Oslo WR jacket is designed for cyclists, but it really is a jacket that you can wear every day for any other activity thanks to its casual and urban image.
The design of this garment has been carried out in Spain (EU) respecting all regulations of respect for the environment and social rights. Being a local product, with your purchase, you contribute to the benefit of your community.
Eco Dry de HeiQ
At JeansTrack we call WR to all our products that are hydro-repellent, that is, without being totally waterproof, they provide us with a finish that repels a moderate amount of liquids. This feature is important for many outdoor activities as it gives you comfort in the event of sudden rain, for example. For JeansTrack it is very important not only to ensure that this ‘water repellence’ finish is of quality and effective but also that it is eco-friendly, that is why we have collaborated with HeiQ to develop this finish without giving up our casual and urban look. HeiQ Eco Dry is a totally environmentally friendly product as it is fluorocarbon-free (PFC-free). With this technology we create a thin hydrophobic film achieving a durable water repellency. In addition, we use innovative technologies for the application and fixation of the product that represent a great saving of water and of the product itself.
Main features of our WR products:
- Durable water repellence (DWR).
- Maintains breathability.
- PFC free
- Eco-friendly and sustainable
The most surprising thing is that JeansTrack has managed to apply this type of technical finish to garments with a casual look. In this way we get clothes suitable for outdoor activities, but keeping an urban style so that you can continue to use that garment in your day to day. The jeans, chinos or jackets of our brand that you can find with this finish will last a minimum of 15 domestic washes. We always recommend washing the garment inside out using gentle washing programs, with not very high temperatures and avoiding the use of fabric softeners. The WR finish adds value to the garment without harming the environment.
LYCRA® is a synthetic elastane fibre that can stretch up to six times its length and return to its original state, over and over again.
It was invented by Joseph Shivers, a chemist who worked at North American company DuPont in 1959 and patented it that same year, giving it the trade name LYCRA®. When introduced for the first time, elastane revolutionised many areas of the textile industry.
Elastane has been commercialised in the textile sector since its invention, under the trade names NUMA®, UNEI®, DORLASTAN® and LYCRA®, among others. The LYCRA fibre is now the property of the company Invista. It isn't a fabric, but rather one of the fibres that comprise a fabric. Its properties are to provide elasticity and a higher quality than other elastanes. Nowadays it is mostly used in the sports industry, thanks to its flexibility and lightness.
This material works as a continuous filament as it can be either a monofilament or multi-filament.
It is used to form fabrics, but never alone as it is combined with other natural, artificial or synthetic fabrics that provide a more pleasant touch and volume to the fabric.
Main characteristics of LYCRA®
- It can be stretched up to 500% without breaking.
- It can be stretched many times and will always return to its original shape.
- It dries quickly.
- Sweat resistant (ideal for sportswear).
More durable fabric.
