PRODUCT DETAILS
Amsterdam Jeans is a JeansTrack chino made from a Repreve® certified denim fabric. This sustainability certificate certifies that recycled plastic bottles have been used to create its fibres. The blend of cotton provides breathability, the Repreve® polyester strength and sustainability, and the elastane elasticity.
These are conventional chino pants that have details that make them ideal for urban cycling. On the one hand, it has a reinforced piece in the contact area with the seat, this piece will make the pants last longer without breaking in this critical area. As a safety element, it has a reflective label on one of the back pockets and also some reflective prints inside the lower part of the legs so that by turning the bottom of the pants the reflective will be exposed. In addition, the Amsterdam Jeans has a fluorocarbon-free water-repellent finish that will be very practical if you are surprised by the rain or if you have an accident with a liquid. This finish is environmentally friendly and has a durability of approximately 10 domestic washes. Inside the waist there is a non-slip rubber so that the pants maintain their initial position and avoid discomfort. Another detail is that thanks to the side snap buttons on the waist you can adjust the size of the waist without having to use an annoying belt while pedalling.
Its ergonomic slim fit pattern slims the figure and is equally comfortable thanks to the elasticity of the fabric.
Amsterdam Jeans is a pant designed for you to go by bike but also for you to be dressed as you usually do and thanks to its casual look and its comfort it is also a pair of trousers that you can wear throughout the year to travel or for any other everyday use such as shopping or going out for a drink with friends.

It has more than 70 points out of 100 and it is not only made with sustainable materials, but it has also been manufactured and processed in Spain with technologies such as laser marking, ozone washing or nano-bubble treatments.

GARMENT CARE
At JeansTrack we call WR to all our products that are hydro-repellent, that is, without being totally waterproof, they provide us with a finish that repels a moderate amount of liquids. This feature is important for many outdoor activities as it gives you comfort in the event of sudden rain, for example. For JeansTrack it is very important not only to ensure that this ‘water repellence’ finish is of quality and effective but also that it is eco-friendly, that is why we have collaborated with HeiQ to develop this finish without giving up our casual and urban look. HeiQ Eco Dry is a totally environmentally friendly product as it is fluorocarbon-free (PFC-free). With this technology we create a thin hydrophobic film achieving a durable water repellency. In addition, we use innovative technologies for the application and fixation of the product that represent a great saving of water and of the product itself.
Main features of our WR products:
The most surprising thing is that JeansTrack has managed to apply this type of technical finish to garments with a casual look. In this way we get clothes suitable for outdoor activities, but keeping an urban style so that you can continue to use that garment in your day to day. The jeans, chinos or jackets of our brand that you can find with this finish will last a minimum of 15 domestic washes. We always recommend washing the garment inside out using gentle washing programs, with not very high temperatures and avoiding the use of fabric softeners. The WR finish adds value to the garment without harming the environment.

REPREVE® is a certification for those fibres made from recycled plastic bottles. Billions of plastic bottles go to landfills every year. But now you can do something about it. When you buy a textile product that bears the REPREVE® label, you will know that at least part of the fibres with which the fabric is being produced comes from the recycling of these bottles.
We are not just finding a new life for recycled materials. Compared to the manufacture of new fibres, fewer greenhouse gases are emitted and the use of water and energy in the process is reduced. That makes a big difference for our future. There are many ways to contribute to the care of our planet and its future. Today there are many materials called ‘eco-friendly’ or sustainable, but the most effective is the recycling of materials since it solves two problems such as waste management and meeting raw material needs in a sustainable and ecological way. All are advantages.
Using REPREVE® certified products is one more way to give back to nature part of what it gives us.
LYCRA® is a synthetic elastane fibre that can stretch up to six times its length and return to its original state, over and over again.
It was invented by Joseph Shivers, a chemist who worked at North American company DuPont in 1959 and patented it that same year, giving it the trade name LYCRA®. When introduced for the first time, elastane revolutionised many areas of the textile industry.
Elastane has been commercialised in the textile sector since its invention, under the trade names NUMA®, UNEI®, DORLASTAN® and LYCRA®, among others. The LYCRA fibre is now the property of the company Invista. It isn't a fabric, but rather one of the fibres that comprise a fabric. Its properties are to provide elasticity and a higher quality than other elastanes. Nowadays it is mostly used in the sports industry, thanks to its flexibility and lightness.
This material works as a continuous filament as it can be either a monofilament or multi-filament.
It is used to form fabrics, but never alone as it is combined with other natural, artificial or synthetic fabrics that provide a more pleasant touch and volume to the fabric.
