DETAILS

The Shira Jeans by Jeanstrack are made from a Tencel, cotton and elastane stretch fabric. Tencel is a natural fiber with a beautiful soft hand feeling, cotton, in addition, provides greater resistance and durability. As an elastic fiber, elastane guarantees both great elasticity and recovery. Thanks to the indigo pigments dying and the following washing process we can get this aged and worn effect on the seams that gives a casual look the same as the shorts you use every day for going out.

Two front and rear pockets. Elastic waist with tape to adjust.  Embroidery with the brand name.

Shira Jeans are some short jeans intended for climbing, bouldering, hiking or any outdoor activities. But with their casual look and comfort they can also be used for travelling or everyday use like shopping or going out for a drink with friends.

This garment was made and designed in Spain (EU) in accordance with all environmental and social regulations.  As this is a local product you contribute to your community when you buy it.

LYCRA

LYCRALYCRA® is a synthetic elastane fibre that can stretch up to six times its length and return to its original state, over and over again.
It was invented by Joseph Shivers, a chemist who worked at North American company DuPont in 1959 and patented it that same year, giving it the trade name LYCRA®. When introduced for the first time, elastane revolutionised many areas of the textile industry.
Elastane has been commercialised in the textile sector since its invention, under the trade names NUMA®, UNEI®, DORLASTAN® and LYCRA®, among others. The LYCRA fibre is now the property of the company Invista. It isn't a fabric, but rather one of the fibres that comprise a fabric. Its properties are to provide elasticity and a higher quality than other elastanes. Nowadays it is mostly used in the sports industry, thanks to its flexibility and lightness.
This material works as a continuous filament as it can be either a monofilament or multi-filament.
It is used to form fabrics, but never alone as it is combined with other natural, artificial or synthetic fabrics that provide a more pleasant touch and volume to the fabric.

Main characteristics of LYCRA®

  • It can be stretched up to 500% without breaking.
  • It can be stretched many times and will always return to its original shape.
  • It dries quickly.
  • Sweat resistant (ideal for sportswear).

More durable fabric.

Tencel

TENCEL™ (Lyocell) fibers are derived from sustainable wood sources – natural forests and sustainably managed plantations.

Thermal regulation and breathability

TENCEL™ absorbs moisture more efficiently than cotton. This supports the body’s natural thermal regulating mechanism, keeping your skin feeling pleasantly cool and dry.

Unfavorable for bacterial growth

In comparison to polyester and synthetics, there is less available moisture formed on the surface of the fiber for bacteria to grow offering better hygienic qualities to fabrics.

Sustainable production of Lyocell fibers

TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers have gained a commendable reputation for their environmentally responsible closed loop production process, which transforms wood pulp into cellulosic fibers with high resource efficiency and low ecological impact. This solvent-spinning process recycles process water and reuses the solvent at a recovery rate of more than 99%.

Gentle on skin

TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers are naturally soft to the touch and offer long-lasting comfort. It has a smooth surface area, giving fabrics a soft feel and ensuring comfort for sensitive skin.

Minimal static charge

The ability to absorb moisture makes TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers tension-free with no electrostatic charging. In comparison with synthetics, there is an absence of electrostatic charge.

Strength

Distinguished by their greater strength among cellulose fibers, TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers are durable and have a long-lasting quality.
