PRODUCT DETAILS
Montan are some men's climbing pants that are made with a very elastic and resistant fabric that you can use both in the climbing wall and on the rock. The waist is elastic and with a drawstring to adjust it. The hems are also elasticated and will allow you to roll them up to the knee safely. In the crotch there is a diamond-shaped gusset that will give you a greater range of movement. The knees have a double layer of fabric to have greater resistance to the rock. It has brush holders for right and left handers.
As it is a colored jeans, we have taken care of its image with a dye and a subsequent wash that gives it its own and current character so that you can also use them in your day to day.
JeansTrack's philosophy is to create functional garments that are attractive to be used outside of your sports activity. Montan is a pair of pants designed for those climbers who usually go to the climb wall and eventually to the mountains but who are looking for clothes with which they feel identified and that they can use daily for many other things, so you can have two pants in one.
This garment complies with all regulations regarding respect for the environment and social rights that govern the EU. As it is a local product, with your purchase, you contribute to the benefit of your community.
COMPOSITION
83% Cotton, 15% Polyester, 2% Lycra®
Cotton is a plant and a natural fibre for manufacturing fabrics. Cotton fabric is made up of threads that are in turn made up of cotton fibres that have been separated from the vegetable remains of the plant that aren't used, such as stems, shells, seeds, etc. Depending on the quality of the cotton, these fibres may have different lengths and this length allows the cotton fibre to be mainly prepared in two ways: carded or combed. In order to prepare the fibres using the comb process, the cotton fibre must have a minimum length. Thus, short-length cotton fibres can only be prepared prior to spinning by 'carding', whereas long-length cotton fibres (of higher quality) can be prepared using the 'comb' process.
Combed cotton yarns are of a higher quality than carded yarns because they provide a higher resistance and better handfeeling, and this is reflected firstly in the fabrics, and then in the final garments, providing them greater durability and a high quality end finish.
LYCRA® is a synthetic elastane fibre that can stretch up to six times its length and return to its original state, over and over again.
It was invented by Joseph Shivers, a chemist who worked at North American company DuPont in 1959 and patented it that same year, giving it the trade name LYCRA®. When introduced for the first time, elastane revolutionised many areas of the textile industry.
Elastane has been commercialised in the textile sector since its invention, under the trade names NUMA®, UNEI®, DORLASTAN® and LYCRA®, among others. The LYCRA fibre is now the property of the company Invista. It isn't a fabric, but rather one of the fibres that comprise a fabric. Its properties are to provide elasticity and a higher quality than other elastanes. Nowadays it is mostly used in the sports industry, thanks to its flexibility and lightness.
This material works as a continuous filament as it can be either a monofilament or multi-filament.
It is used to form fabrics, but never alone as it is combined with other natural, artificial or synthetic fabrics that provide a more pleasant touch and volume to the fabric.
